An Unbroken Line Since the Days of the Buddha

The Karma Kagyu Lineage is one of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism, and traces its history back to these great masters. The Kagyu Lineage is often called “The Whispered Lineage” because its highest teachings are still passed in an unbroken line from teacher to student since the days of the Buddha. His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa visits Harvard University as part of his 2015 American Tour. At the request of the Harvard Divinity School, the Karmapa gave a short talk, “Caring for Life on Earth in the Twenty-first Century.” English translation by Lama Yeshe Gyamtso.
